What to plant in May

Many of us think that the middle of May is already too late for the best planting possibilities. Not to worry! Now that temperatures are consistently in the 50’s at night and daytime weather is warm and settled, it’s the perfect time for sowing seeds right into the garden.

Here are some suggestions for vegetables you can plant directly in the garden:
Beans
Beets
Carrots
Chard
Cucumbers
Gourds
Melons
Pak Choi
Pumpkins
Salad Greens
Stir fry Greens
Scallions
Summer Squash
Watermelon
Winter Squash
Zucchini
